Oral Presentations

Presentation Language and Time

English is the official language of the ICN+T 2018, therefore all contributions must be prepared and delivered in English. The time reserved for each presentation varies according to the presentation type (including the discussion):

Presentation Type Time
Plenary Lecture 55 minutes
Keynote Lecture 40 minutes
Invited Lecture 40 minutes
Oral Presentation 20 minutes

Authors are asked to follow the assigned times.

Presentation Format

Please prepare your presentation preferably using PowerPoint version 2013 or 2016, however older versions are also supported. Screens’ aspect ratio will be 16:9.

Supported File Types

Presentation: PPT, PPS, PPTA, PPTX, PDF
Video: AVI, MPG, MKV, MOV, MP4, WMV
Audio: WMA, MP3, WAV
Pictures: JPG, GIF, BMP, TIFF

When saving your final presentation to the USB stick do not forget to make sure to include your video files and all links to these multimedia files.

As no presentation template is prepared, you are welcome to use your own.

Uploading the Presentation Onsite

You are asked to hand over your presentation at least 15 minutes before the session starts to an assistant in the room who will upload it to a computer. Then you can control your own slideshow using the remote control. If any problems occur, there will be assisting staff in each lecture room.

 

Poster Presentation Technical Manual

To ensure a high-quality exchange of scientific ideas, all presenters at ICN+T 2018 are required to adhere to the following linguistic and technical specifications for their poster displays.

General Requirements

  • Official Language: All poster content, including diagrams and captions, must be presented exclusively in English.
  • Allocation: Each presentation is assigned a unique reference number. Authors must locate the corresponding number on the provided poster boards for mounting.

Schedule of Poster Sessions

Authors are expected to remain at their designated stations during the following windows to engage with attendees and answer technical inquiries:

Technical Specifications & Materials

Proper preparation of physical materials is essential for a successful display:

  • Maximum Dimensions: 90 cm (width) x 120 cm (height).
  • Required Orientation: Portrait (vertical) only.
  • Recommended Material: Thin cardboard is preferred over standard paper for better durability and presentation quality.
  • On-site Support: The organizing committee will provide all necessary adhesive materials and staff assistance for mounting.

Installation and Removal Policy

To maintain the conference flow, please follow the strict timeline for poster management:

Action Timing / Deadline
Mounting During the morning of your assigned session day.
Dismantling Immediately following the conclusion of the session.
Unclaimed Posters Materials left after the session will be discarded by the cleaning staff.
